Grilled Tofu



This is a great way to prepare and serve tofu. It can be dressed up with grilled vegetables as shown in the photo. <https://www.loveandlemons.com/grilled-tofu/>

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of soft tofu
  • dukkha of your choice
  • 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

Method

  1. Pat the tofu dry, and wrap it in paper towels or a clean kitchen towel.
  2. Place it on a cutting board, and then set a heavy cast-iron skillet on top. Let the tofu sit for at least 30 minutes and up to 90 minutes - it will be almost half the height and firm to touch. 
  3. Dress the tofu with a little oil and dukkha on both sides
  4. Preheat a grill pan to medium-high heat and when it’s hot, brush or spray the grill grates with oil. Grill the tofu for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until char marks form and the tofu releases from the grill grates.
